BERDAYA: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Lembaga Pengembangan Manajemen dan Publikasi Imperium (Imperium Research Institute). The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. BERDAYA contains various activities of the teaching staff in Indonesia in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Focus and Scope BERDAYA, particularly focuses on the main problems in the development of the sciences of community services areas as follows: Community Services, People, Local Food Security; Training, Marketing, Appropriate Technology, Design; Community Empowerment, Social Access; Student Community Services;Border Region, Less Developed Region; Education for Sustainable Development.

Abstract

The higher education admission selections are intended to obtain excellent prospective students. The opportunities are given to all students who graduated from senior high, vocational and Islamic senior high, and Islamic boarding schools (Dayah) throughout Lhokseumawe. These activities involved some lecturers and academicians from The State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Lhokseumawe located in Alu Awee, Muara Dua District, Lhokseumawe City. The methods used in the SPMB socialization process were discussion and feedback to create two-way interactions. This socialization was intended that the senior high, Islamic High and Islamic boarding school students now at the end of their study can smoothly participate in SPMB, to educate the students who will soon become the prospective students to easily make their registrations by fulfilling the required conditions and determine their majors when registering SPMB in accordance with their interests. Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase understanding of digital marketing for MSMEs in the MBS district. By maximizing the use of online media, it can increase business competitiveness. For MSME players, adequate online media knowledge and quality content can be used to market their products. This situation is very influential, significantly since the Covid 19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia since March 2020 has changed the way people meet their daily needs. Consumers who used to shop directly are now experiencing changes by using digital transactions. Marketing online through social media provides opportunities for MSME to interact with consumers. The approach method used is for active MSMEs. The method is done by providing counseling online through zoom media. This service activity was carried out orderly and smoothly. The participants were very enthusiastic about listening to the speakers’ presentations. The attendance of the participants proves this right from the beginning of the event to the end of the event. It is hoped that training and the service team can assist MSMEs so that they can monitor the progress of increasing sales turnover. Abstract

Community Service with the topic of Application-Based Accounting Training for high school students majoring in social studies was chosen because it saw the special needs of the social department. At the time of the industrial revolution 4.0, a disruptive era, especially during a pandemic where the majority of recording, reporting and other processes were carried out online or work from home, then the need for application-based accounting knowledge becomes very important. Abstract

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, entrepreneurs are required to be able to survive and seize business opportunities—the accuracy and strategy needed by every entrepreneur to reduce the impact caused by the pandemic. The community service activities held focused on answering the problems experienced by PKM Partners of the Kalbis Institute of Technology and Business, namely: PKM Partners are MSMEs in East Belitung where MSMEs experience various problems such as product marketing, online sales strategies, access to capital, financial management, raw materials, as well as difficulties in conventionally distributing their business. MSMEs in East Belitung Regency has good potential to be developed. The Covid-19 outbreak poses a threat to MSMEs to develop their businesses. The PKM activities that will be held are focused on answering the problems experienced by PKM partners of the Kalbis Institute of Technology and Business. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically reduced the number of face-to-face buying and selling transactions, thus opening up opportunities for online buying and selling transactions, especially through social media. However, the owners of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) do not understand how to brand their products through social media. This training activity aims to provide knowledge for SME owners assisted by Bina Nusantara University Jakarta so that they can understand social media branding to better promote their products and increase their competitiveness in the era of globalization. The method used in this activity is in the form of online training through the Zoom application with a duration of two hours which is carried out every Friday during June 2021. The training activities carried out for the participants are material explanations and case studies, followed by a question and answer session, discussion and practice. Activity participants can take part in the training well and enthusiastically, and begin to understand how to brand their products through social media. Keywords: Social media branding, UKM
